Font Friday: Metropolis
Well I’m a day late with Font Friday this week but better late than never right?! Today I have a beautiful font crafted by talented (Melbourne based!) designer Josip Kelava. A little bit about the font from the designer, Metropolis comes from the industrial years of the 1950’s where skyscrapers were born. Greatly inspired by the double line work of Twin by Mark El-Khatib, I used the double line method on HTF Champion Featherweight as a template to create a new typeface. The result is a bold, pompous typeface with a stolidly calm disposition.
If you would like this awesome font all you need to do is head over to Josip’s behance page and click on the download link. Thanks Josip!
